Moses mountain “Mount Sinai” & ST.Catherine Night Trip

Mount Moses, as it was named after the Prophet Moses (also known as Mount Sinai), is a mountain located in the middle of the South Sinai in Egypt, about 220 km from the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, and the length of Mount Moses is 2285 meters.
It is considered a very sacred site for all, so who among us would not want to walk where the Prophet Moses walked and see what he had seen
Our trip is also an opportunity to visit one of the oldest churches in the Middle East (St. Catherine's Monastery).
We will take you on a tour inside this famous holy place, you will see the cemetery, the garden and the church that contains the remains of St. Catherine in the temple of the church with a marble box next to the main temple and the fragrance still flows from the remains of the saint as a permanent miracle and the monastery became known by its name since the eleventh century.
You will also see the blessed tree of Moses,
And a mosque built to protect the church from attacks by extremists at the time

Trip program

We will pass you by to pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh at 20:00 by a modern air-conditioned car to our destination which will take about 3 hours including a "15-minute" break.

Our guide will be waiting for you at the bottom of the mountain to prepare you for the sacred ascent almost at midnight
You should be fit and ready for the trek, comfortable walking shoes are also recommended, and we recommend bringing some heavy clothing when reaching the summit in winter.
You can go 2/3 of the way up by camel, but the last 1/3 has to be done on foot "700 steps"

We will be met on the climb by some offers to rent blankets, take advantage if you can at the top because you will need them. There are also a few tea and snack stations on the way. "my choice"

St. Catherine's Monastery
When you descend from the mountain we will head to Saint Catherine Monastery which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest functioning Christian monastery in the world.

It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in South Sinai, as it was built around 550 AD.
Catherine who lies at the foot of Mount Moses in the heart of South Sinai. This is one of the most famous monuments of South Sinai with a lot of attractions like the Church of Transfiguration, The Skull House, Moses Well and the Burning Bush. You will get a guided tour to see all this with all the historical explanations from our licensed guide.

After the end of the day full of adventure, we will take you back in the comfortable air-conditioned bus to Sharm El-Sheikh to your hotel to take a break to prepare for another adventure with us at Candia Tours
